Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, the much anticipated FinTech Abu Dhabi Summit will be held at Fairmont Bab Al Bahr Hotel, Abu Dhabi on 17th September 2018.

Building on the success of the 2017 inaugural event that attracted close to 3000 local and global registrations, the 2018 event will comprise two full days of world-class exciting activities with world-class speakers, designed to unite the FinTech community and support the growth of financial services industry in Abu Dhabi and the MENA region.  The event is exclusively organised and curated by ADGM.

Richard Teng, CEO of the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of ADGM, said, “Innovation, including FinTech and digital transformation, is part of ADGM’s DNA. It influences and shapes our service offerings and regulatory framework. As an ecosystem developer, we aim to support Abu Dhabi’s leading position as the FinTech hub and nexus for the MENA area.”

He continued: “This year’s Summit will focus on innovation adoption where our corporate partners will work closely with FinTech firms to create deployable solutions that will transform the financial services landscape. The Summit provides a compelling and unique platform where regional regulators come together to jointly review and address key issues affecting the market. Financial services providers and innovators can explore and introduce transformational changes, enabling them to re-engineer their business models. It looks at how financial institutions and innovators can harness regulations and infrastructures to develop new customer propositions. We look forward to supporting innovation in the local and global community to create sustainable growth.”

For FinTech start-ups, ADGM has specially tailored a brand new addition segment – the FinTech Abu Dhabi Bootcamp Day on 16th September featuring FinTech innovators from ADGM RegLab, the world’s largest start-up accelerator Plug-and-Play, and KPMG Digital Village team, to showcase game-changing FinTech solutions that will address today’s business challenges. FinTech start-ups, investors, mentors and the financial community will have the opportunity to network and exchange ideas on Bootcamp Day.

For the official Summit day on 17th September 2018, local and global FinTech experts, regulators, financial leaders, investors and innovators will gather to deep-dive into trending topics and business issues that will shape the digital economy of the future.  Participants will also find out the results of the Innovation Challenge – Adoption by corporate champions and their FinTech firms.

The 2018 edition is set to immerse participants in the MENA FinTech ecosystem, providing them with an opportunity to collaborate and network, enhance product offerings with innovative FinTech solutions, share real use-cases and exchange knowledge, as well as build new partnerships.
